Monthly chapter meetings provide a format for educational development and the opportunity to exchange ideas and information with other organizers. The meetings feature presentations by members and guest speakers on useful topics related to organizing and business development.
To serve the needs of all our members we offer quarterly meetings for members who are new to organizing, as well as Golden Circle meetings for veteran Organizers. We also offer informative quarterly meetings for people who may be interested in becoming members.
In order to provide continuing education for Organizers, NAPO-NY sponsors in-depth Professional Development Seminars on issues and topics specific to organizing.
Chapter Meetings and Seminars
Regular chapter meetings are generally held on the first Monday of each month. The meeting location is usually:

Meetings run from 6 PM to 8:45 PM. They include chapter business, presentations, and discussions related to the field of organizing. Guest speakers are often featured. New Organizers Meetings (for members only) are held quarterly at 5 PM. Check the calendar on the NAPO-NY website for the most up-to-date information on meetings.
Guests are welcome to attend regular chapter meetings:
- NAPO members who do not belong to the NAPO-NY Chapter may attend meetings for a fee of $15.00.
- Other guests (no NAPO affiliation) may attend meetings for a fee of $25.00.
- Guest fees may be paid online prior to the meetings.
- If paying in person, correct change is appreciated. If paying by check, make your check payable to NAPO-NY.
Chapter Meetings for Members Only are held on occasion. To attend you must be a member of NAPO and NAPO-NY.
Please note: no applications and/or membership fees are accepted at chapter meetings.
Prospective Member Meetings are held 3 to 4 times per year at 5 PM, prior to regular chapter meetings. No guest fee is required to attend, but a $25 Guest Fee is required to attend the regular chapter meeting at 6 PM. These meetings are intended for those who are neither a member of NAPO nor NAPO-NY.
Professional Development Seminars provide continuing education for Organizers. Open to both members and non-members, these seminars feature presentations by experts on issues and topics specific to organizing. Please look at our calendar for a schedule of upcoming seminars and a link to details and registration information.
Golden Circle Meetings
A NAPO professional member who has worked as a professional organizer for 5 or more years and has been a NAPO member for at least one year is eligible for the prestigious Golden Circle designation. Quarterly meetings for Golden Circle members are scheduled on the following 2014-2015 dates:
- 11/15/2014 – 11:30-2:30
- 2/8/2015 -- 1:00-4:00
- 5/2/2015 -- 11:30-2:30
- 8/2/2015 -- 1:00-4:00
- 11/14/2015 -- 11:30-2:30

Professional Organizers of Long Island
The Professional Organizers of Long Island are members of NAPO who live and organize on Long Island in New York. Check the NAPO-NY Calendar for meeting dates

Upstate New York NAPO
The Upstate NY NAPO members are members of NAPO who live and organize in the Western, Finger Lakes, Southern Tier and Central New York areas.
We are an informal group meeting twice a year for a networking luncheon and meeting. We communicate throughout the year via a closed Google Group to support each other, share ideas, information and resources. Check the NAPO-NY Calendar for meeting dates.
If you would like to join the group, please email Linda Groat and include your preferred email for joining the group, your full first and last name, and the expiration date of your current NAPO membership.
We have met twice a year consistently for about 10 years. Our next meeting is October 3rd, 2014 in Rochester, NY.
